Native American Style Flute Music for Shamanic Journeying, Ritual and Ceremony
Performed in four movements with prologue and reprise. A journey with grandeur, mystery, grace and sensuality blended beautifully
in this hour-long trance-like adventure.
“Memo’s Native American style flute music lifts you up and transports you on a shamanic journey. It breaks you
free of time as you step into a musical world of sacred echoes.”
About the Album Art
“As I was visiting a facility designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the Mojave Desert of California, I noticed a medicine
woman playing a native American flute in the hot desert sun. What struck me was her shadow falling on the cinder block wall
behind her. The shadow seemed androgynous and mythical, like the music in ‘Shaman’s Flute.’” -- Memo
About the Tracks:
“Prologue” A surprising introduction to the journey -- majestic with longing. This track anchors the listener
so she can find her way back home at the end of the journey.
“The Lower World.” The world of our deep subconscious. The territory of animal guides and soul parts waiting
to be retrieved. Trance-like and mysterious.
“The Middle World” The world in which we live, full of rhythms and sensual moods.
“The Upper World” The world of our destinies. An ethereal dance.
“The World To Come” The next evolution in human consciousness approaching 2012. Blending the flute with contemporary
instruments.
“Reprise” A majestic and melodic reentry to this space and time.
